Petr Veselý (born June 7, 1971 in Přerov ) is a former Czech football player .

Club career

Veselý began playing football in Přerov , when he was A-youth he moved to Baník Ostrava . In the 1989/90 season he was the first time in the league squad from Baník, but he was not used. He moved to Spartak Hradec Králové in mid-1990 , after a year and a half he returned to Ostrava . From 1996 to 1998 Veselý played for Petra Drnovice , then again for Baník Ostrava. In January 2002, the defender went to the Greek second division AO Patraikos , in September of the same year he was committed by the Slovak club ŠK Slovan Bratislava . In early 2004, Veselý moved to the then fourth division club FC Hlučín, with whom he rose to the third-class MSFL. There FC Hlučín managed to walkover in the second league, Veselý was captain of the team. After the 2006/07 season, the two-time national player ended his professional career. Since summer 2007 he has been playing in the fifth highest Austrian soccer league at SV Zwentendorf. In the winter transition period 2007/08 he switched to the 2nd class in the foothills of the Alps at ÖTSU Raiba Steinakirchen.

National team

For the Czech national football team , Petr Veselý played two games almost six years apart. The right defender made his debut on September 6, 1994 in the qualifier for the 1996 European Championship against Malta in Ostrava. The Czech Republic won 6-1, Veselý came on the field in the 86th minute for Radoslav Látal . It took Veselý over five years to return to the Czech team. At the Carlsberg Cup 2000 in Hong Kong , he played the second half in the game against Mexico , which the Czechs won 2-1.
