Petr Weigl
Petr Weigl (born March 16, 1939 in Brno ; † July 14, 2018 ) was a Czech film director who specialized in music and opera films .
Life
Petr Weigl studied at the film and television faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague , where he obtained his diploma in 1961. After working for many years in the works of others, he made a name for himself as a screenwriter and director of fairy tales and especially of music and opera films in the 1970s.
