Petra M. Jelicic-Lovrekovic (born November 11, 1975 in Mainz ) is a Croatian-German artist.

Life

From 1984 Petra M. Jelicic-Lovrekovicdie attended the Anna-Schmidt-School in Frankfurt am Main . She graduated from high school in 1993 at Gordonstoun School, a boarding school in Scotland , where she lived from 1991 to 1993. A year later she began studying printmaking and painting at Cambridge Arts and Sciences , Great Britain, and in 1995 at University College Falmouth in Cornwall . During her studies she spent six months in Milan as part of the Erasmus program . After specializing in landscape painting, she received a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art in 1998. In the same year, she spent an extended period in New York . The majority of these pictures were created in the style of abstract expressionism . In 2000, Lovrekovic continued her scholarship and lived and worked in Milan for six years. Her works were regularly exhibited in the Galleria Cafiso during this period .

In 2006 she moved to New York again for a year, then to Berlin for a longer period. In search of artistic inspiration, Lovrekovic has been walking on various St. James' paths in Europe since 2009 . Since the end of 2015 Lovrekovic has lived and worked alternately in Zagreb , Croatia , and Mainz, Germany. Her pictures have since been shown in several museum exhibitions. Lovrekovic's latest creation is a series of erotic images on paper and ceramics that have been created over the past two years using a wide range of different artistic techniques.
