Petra Seidl

Petra Meier to Bernd-Seidl (born June 8, 1957 in Stockholm ) is a German politician and lawyer . She was Lord Mayor of Lindau (Lake Constance) from 2000 to 2012 .

She studied law in Regensburg and Münster. From 1988 onwards she worked for several local government authorities in Münsterland, among other things as head of a public order office and head of a main, personnel and school administration office. From 1994 to 2000 she was a full-time alderman in Coesfeld .

In 2000 she was elected Lord Mayor of Lindau . She was re-elected six years later. In addition, from 2002 she was a member of the district council of the Lindau district . As a non-party, she was a member of the CSU parliamentary group until she switched to the free citizens of Lindau parliamentary group in early 2011. They also supported them in the regular Mayoral elections in 2012, in which they received only 17.92 percent of the votes in the first ballot and thus failed to make it into the runoff election . She has been working as a lawyer and mediator since May 2012. Since May 2014 she has been the parliamentary group leader of the Free Citizenship of Lindau in the Lindau district assembly.
