Petra Vogt (politician)

Petra Vogt (born June 3, 1969 in Duisburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). She has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2012 .

biography

Petra Vogt grew up in Duisburg. In 1988 she obtained the general university entrance qualification and studied economics and Spanish for the teaching post secondary level II, vocational schools. In 1993 she obtained the first and in 1995 the second state examination. From 1996 to 2012 Vogt was a teacher at a commercial vocational college in Duisburg, most recently as a senior lecturer.

Vogt has been chairwoman of the German Forest Protection Association in Duisburg since October 2015 . She is also a member of the Association of Business School Teachers .

politics

In 1987 Vogt became a member of the CDU. Since 1998 she has been chairwoman of the CDU local association Duisburg-Neudorf. Since 2012 she has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association in the Ruhr area. Since June 2015 deputy chairwoman of the CDU Duisburg. From 1995 to 2012 she was a member of the Council of the City of Duisburg and from 2004 to 2012 chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group.

Vogt was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from May 31, 2012 to May 31, 2017 and has been again since June 30, 2017, when she replaced Jan Heinisch , who had resigned and was appointed State Secretary, on the CDU state list . Since July 11, 2017, she has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group. In the 17th electoral term she is also a member of the Science Committee, the Committee on Culture and Media and the Committee on School and Education.
