Petra Zeitz

Petra Zeitz (born December 28, 1967 in Wesseling ) is a German author and historian .

Life

Petra Zeitz worked between 1992 and 1996 as press manager for what was then EMI Germany under the direction of Erwin Bach. Then she was the manager of the Cologne rock band Brings and between 2000 and 2001 worked in the management of the pop singer Guildo Horn .

Since 2002 she has focused on tourism. After working in the marketing sector for many years, she completed additional training to become a certified tour guide . Numerous assignments on study trips around the world followed. In Finland Zeitz studied Nordic history in Kuopio, Jyväskylä and Helsinki between 2000 and 2005.

For several years she worked as a historian on expedition ships in the Antarctic. She gave lectures and oversaw the landings and excursions on the Antarctic continent. Among them she was also present on the trip of the MV Nordkapp 2007, which ran aground in the caldera of Deception Island.

Since 2005 Zeitz has been a regular lecturer in geography and history on cruise ships around the world, mainly on routes in the Mediterranean. Since 2018 Zeitz has mainly published ratings and reviews for international online casinos and works in online marketing for GIG Gaming Innovation Group , a Norwegian company based in Malta.

Zeitz published ten German-language biographies in the music field, including a. via Paul McCartney , Dire Straits , Bruce Springsteen , Joe Cocker , Genesis, and Phil Collins . In 1992 her book Rock Star Interviews with conversations she had with musicians was published in the USA . One of the author's bestsellers was the 1991 book on Dire Straits.

Zeitz lives in Malta .
