Petras Valiukas

Petras Valiukas ( 1948 - 1993 ) was a Lithuanian politician and police officer .

Life

In 1967 Valiukas began his career with the Soviet Lithuania Militia . He was the head of the Internal Affairs Department in Zarasai . From 1985 worked in Marijampolė . In 1991 he was the commander of the Police Special Operations Command (" Aras ") and then chief of the police in Kaunas , police general . From November 19, 1991 he was Minister of the Interior of Lithuania in the Vagnorius I cabinet and until 1992 in the Abišala cabinet .
