Petrol Ofisi A.Ş. , abbreviated PO , is a Turkish oil company with a market value of $ 3.1 billion. The current managing director (status: 2007) is Melih Türker.

The company was founded as a state-owned operation on February 18, 1941 to import petroleum into Turkey, refine it and sell petrochemical products within Turkey.

On July 24, 2000, Petrol Ofisi was privatized. Doğan Sirketler Grubu Holding , the parent company of Doğan Yayın Holding , acquired 51% of the company . On March 13, 2006 the Austrian company OMV acquired 34% of the company Petrol Ofisi. On February 5, 2008, OMV increased this share to 39.8%. By the end of 2009, OMV had increased its stake to 41.58 percent. A complete takeover planned by OMV was postponed in November 2009 due to tax proceedings of 2 billion euros against the Dogan Group. At the second negotiations in October 2010, the two groups agreed on a takeover of 54.17% of the Dogan Group by OMV for 1 billion euros. In 2013, OMV already held 97% of the company, the rest is in free float.

PO owns around 3,631 filling stations in Turkey and a nationwide marketing network for its products. Products include gasoline , diesel , heating fuels, kerosene and other petrochemical products.

PO is the sponsor of sporting events such as car races (including Formula 1), speedboat races, karting, mountain climbing on Mount Everest and for various Turkish sports teams (e.g. national soccer team). PO was the main sponsor of the Formula One Grand Prix race in Turkey from 2005 to 2008.

In 2017 OMV sold its stake to the Vitol Group.
