Petros Voulgaris
Petros Voulgaris ( Greek : Πέτρος Βούλγαρης) (born September 13, 1884 on the island of Hydra ; † November 26, 1957 ) was a Greek admiral, politician and former prime minister.
Life
Voulgaris completed an officer training after attending school. As such, he took part in the Balkan Wars of 1912 and 1913 and in the First World War. After the beginning of the dictatorship of General Ioannis Metaxas , he was retired as a royalist with the rank of admiral in 1936.
During the Second World War he was appointed Minister of Aviation in the government of Emmanouil Tsouderos in 1943 , but was soon entrusted with the command of the navy and its reorganization.
Voulgaris was Prime Minister from April 9, 1945 to October 17, 1945. At times he also held the offices of Foreign Minister and Minister of War in his cabinet.
