The Petschenihy Reservoir ( Ukrainian Печенізьке водосховище ; Russian Печенежское водохранилище ) is a reservoir on the Siversky Donets in eastern Ukraine .

The Pechenihy reservoir is located in the Kharkiv Oblast 55 km east of the city of Kharkiv . The dam, built in 1962, is located in the Pechenihy district near the urban-type settlement Pechenihy , which also gave the reservoir its name.

It covers an area of ​​86.2 km² and contains 383 million m³ of water. The length is 75 km with an average width of 1.34 km and a maximum width of 4 km. The length of the coastline is 146 km and the average depth is 4.44 m. At the deepest point the water has a depth of 14 m. The length of the dam is 1083 m.

The construction of the dam took place in the years 1958–1962. In August 1962, the filling of the lake began, which was completed in 1964. It is used to supply the city ​​of Kharkiv with drinking water and as a local recreation area.
