Pettigrew Scarp is an almost 800 m long step in the south of Annenkov Island off the south coast of South Georgia . It is bounded in the southwest by a mountain ridge and in the northeast by three rock needles .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 after Timothy Hugh Pettigrew (* 1949), geologist of the British Antarctic Survey , who worked on Annenkov Island from 1972 to 1973.
