Petur Alberg
Petur Alberg (born December 15, 1885 in Tórshavn , † 1940 in the Faroe Islands ) is the composer of the national anthem of the Faroe Islands . Sometimes he is confused with the pastor Peter Alberg Holm (1823-1892).
According to tradition, the national anthem Tú alfagra land mítt was composed by Símun av Skarði on February 1, 1906 . Petur Alberg wrote the melody for it in 1907.
