Petyr Dinekov

Petyr Nikolow Dinekow ( Bulgarian Петър Николов Динеков ; born October 30, 1910 in Smolsko , † February 22, 1992 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian literary historian and critic.

Life

Dinekow worked from 1945 as a professor at the University of Sofia . In 1967 he became a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences . He worked as the director of the Academy's Folklore Institute .

In his scientific work he dealt with the history of Bulgarian literature in the Middle Ages , the Bulgarian rebirth and folk poetry.
