Raisa Timofeeva

Raissa Timofejewa (born January 24, 1967 ) is a Russian table tennis player who was internationally active in the 1980s. She became European champion in 1988 with the Russian women's team .

Career

Raissa Timofejewa achieved her first international successes at the European Youth Championships. Here she won in 1983 with the Russian team, in 1984 she reached the final in doubles with Flera Chassanowa .

Among the adults she was nominated for the world championships in 1985 and 1987 , but here she never came close to medal ranks. With Flera Chassanowa she reached the quarter-finals in doubles in 1984 . In 1988 she became European champion with the women's team. In the same year she also won the Russian championship in singles.

After 1988 Raissa Timofejewa no longer appeared internationally.
