The Speedfight is a scooter designed by Peugeot Motocycles with a continuously variable V-belt automatic transmission. So far it has been presented in 4 generations.

Earlier models

The Speedfight was launched in 1997. It is available in the versions AC (Air Cooled = air-cooled ) and LC (Liquid Cooled = water-cooled ), whereby the AC has a slightly lower output and there is no disc brake on the rear axle. A shorter gearbox was used in the air-cooled Speedfight. The scooter's two-stroke engine is air-cooled and is also installed in the Peugeot models TKR , Vivacity and Elystar (cylinder arranged vertically). There was also a 100 cc version that was only available as an AC. According to the manufacturer, its maximum speed is 86 km / h.

The successor was the Speedfight 2 with slight modifications to the design and technology. The Speedfight 2 has a Peugeot two-stroke engine with a vertical cylinder.

The Speedfight 3 shown at the Intermot in 2008 replaced the Speedfight 2 in 2009. The Speedfight 3 has an air or water-cooled two-stroke engine from Peugeot with a horizontal cylinder, it is also available with an air-cooled four-stroke engine.

A special feature of the Speedfight is the suspension of the front wheel on a single- sided swing arm (NSA New Single Arm, Monobras), which reduces brake compression (the scooter dips into the front when braking) and improves steering behavior when cornering.

current model

Peugeot presented the successor Speedfight 4 for 2015 at the EICMA trade fair in Milan . Peugeot returns to a more rounded shape with this model. Only four-stroke engines are installed in the current model. The larger version now has 125 cm³.
