The parish church of Allerheiligen is a Roman Catholic church in the Allerheiligen district of Innsbruck . It was built between 1963–1965 according to the plans of the Tyrolean architect Clemens Holzmeister and inaugurated in 1965.

history

As early as 1375, a Christian sacred building in the area of today's parish of All Saints was mentioned. This was probably a chapel from the 8th century, dedicated to St. Korbinian , about whom little is known. A consecration of an All Saints Church is first mentioned on April 13, 1375. It was located next to the old country road (today Schneeburggasse ) and was demolished in the 18th century. The construction of workers' settlements in the west of Innsbruck from 1935 onwards led to the construction of an emergency church, which was dedicated to St. Georg was consecrated. Increased population growth after the Second World War made it necessary to build a new church. Clemens Holzmeister planned the church as God's castle, visible from afar and with a parish center that surrounds a central courtyard. On December 12, 1965, the church was consecrated to all Saints.

In the years 2000–2003 the parish center was renovated, including making the parish hall accessible directly from the parish square. From 2008 to 2012 the chancel was renewed and adapted to the requirements of the Second Vatican Council . In the course of this, the temporary organ was replaced by an organ made by the Tyrolean organ builder Erler.
