The parish church of Asten is located in Asten in the market town of Asten in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Jakob - incorporated into St. Florian Monastery - belongs to the Deanery Enns-Lorch in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

The church was built in 1724.

architecture

The small baroque church on the outside has a turret with an onion helmet over the west gable facade. The vault of the nave has three narrow and two wider flat hanging domes from 1792. The small one-bay choir is vaulted with a stitch cap.

Furnishing

The church has three baroque altars. The high altar picture St. Jakob painted Johann Georg Morzer (1759). There are two beautiful Rococo-style statues from the mid-18th century. On the south wall of the nave is the late Gothic statue of St. Nicholas around 1510/1515.
