The church, which has existed since the 15th century, was demolished in 1724 because it was dilapidated and completely rebuilt. The baroque church, which is rather simple on the outside, has a porch with a flat gable and a roof turret on the west side. The vault of the nave consists of three narrow and two wide flat hanging domes from the year 1792. The choir has a yoke and a lancet barrel vault . The three altars are baroque. Asten was originally a branch of Ebelsberg , from 1563 the St. Florian monastery looked after the church. In 1784 the parish of Asten was founded ( Josephine re-establishment ).
