In May 1783, the construction of the Tolerance Prayer House began. It was already completed in January 1784 and was the church of the Protestant community of Thening until the inauguration of the “Church in the Field”.

After a fire in 1774, the originally Gothic church was rebuilt. A second renovation followed in 1859. The church has a single nave nave with square vaults and a ribbed vaulted choir . The decor is neo-Gothic.
