Parish church Donnersbach
The Donnersbach parish church is located in Donnersbach in the market town of Irdning-Donnersbachtal in the Liezen district in Styria . The Roman Catholic parish church consecrated to St. Aegidius belongs to the deanery of Upper Ennstal - Styrian Salzkammergut in the diocese of Graz-Seckau . The church and Donnersbach Castle have been a listed building since 2017 ( list entry ).
history
In 1652 a church was mentioned in a document. After renovations, the church was elevated to a parish church in 1786, and the new parish was separated from the Irdning parish.
The gallery shows inscriptions, built in 1756, renovated in 1826 and 1906. The altars and statues were restored from 1962 to 1964.

- Church exterior
The parish church in the east wing of Donnersbach Castle is north-facing and has a roof turret with an onion helmet.
- Church interior
A slightly rounded end of the nave closes off the simple four-bay long house under flat barrel vaults on belts. The nave walls have flat wall pilasters with cornice capitals. The three-axis gallery is slightly curved.
Furnishing
The high altar and pulpit were created by Johann Fortschegger from Mitterndorf in 1785/1786 . The side statues Katharina and Barbara are from the middle of the 17th century. The altar tabernacle is new and bears angels around 1700. The image of Aegydius next to the high altar is called IK 1772.
The side altar St. Aegydius is from the beginning of the 18th century, the altarpiece is from the beginning of the 19th century. The pulpit shows itself in charming Rococo with a relief sower .
There are two Gothic statues Wolfgang and Nikolaus around 1480. An almost life-size statue of St. Peter is from the third quarter of the 15th century.
