Parish church Hönigsberg
The parish church of Hönigsberg is located in Hönigsberg in the municipality of Mürzzuschlag in the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district in Styria . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to the crucified Savior, belongs to the Mürz Valley dean's office in the Graz-Seckau diocese . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).
history
In 1949 the pastor of Langenwang bought a fallow industrial property with a factory hall that had never been in operation and the associated barracks. Initially, an emergency church was set up in a barrack . In 1956 the decision was made to convert the empty factory hall into a church. The church was consecrated on November 23, 1958. In 1962 the church was elevated to a parish church.
