The Roman Catholic parish church in Haag am Hausruck is located in Haag am Hausruck in the market town of Haag am Hausruck in the Grieskirchen district in Upper Austria . The church consecrated to St. Vitus belongs to the dean's office Gaspoltshofen in the diocese of Linz . The church and the war memorial are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1379. The Gothic church structure was changed in the 17th century and expanded into a baroque hall church from 1720 to 1730.

architecture

The three-aisled two (double) bay nave with flat cross vaults is closed by a retracted two bay choir with a three-eighth end with a flat needle cap barrel vault. The built-in west tower on the fourth floor is octagonal with round arched windows and has an onion helmet with a lantern.

Furnishing

The high altar around 1800 shows baroque forms. The right side altar bears a remarkable group of figures Crucifixion in the manner of Johann Peter Schwanthaler the Elder around 1770/1780. The left side altar bears an early Baroque Madonna from the second third of the 17th century. The Rococo style pulpit is from the third quarter of the 18th century. The font is Gothic.
