The parish church of Klagenfurt-Welzenegg is in the Welzenegg district of the municipality of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in Carinthia . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus , belongs to the dean's office in Klagenfurt-Stadt in the diocese of Gurk-Klagenfurt . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

In 1952 an emergency church was established. In 1973 a parish center was built according to the plans of the architect Anton Zemann . From 1989 to 1993 a renovation took place according to the plans of the architects Felix Orsini-Rosenberg and Franz Freytag.

architecture

The church building with an open, spacious hall also has a great external effect. The airy bell tower on four posts has boarded sound openings in the bell storey.
