The Roman Catholic parish church Meggenhofen is located in Meggenhofen in the municipality of Meggenhofen in the Grieskirchen district in Upper Austria . The church consecrated to St. Martin belongs to the dean's office Gaspoltshofen in the diocese of Linz . The church and the cemetery and the footbridge over the former moat are under monument protection .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1302.

architecture

The larger late-Gothic church building with an initially single-nave three-bay nave was later given a lower aisle to the north as the Anna chapel. The two-bay choir closes with a five -eighth closing . The church was vaulted with mesh ribs, but most of the ribs were removed. The three-axis western organ loft is arched with mesh ribs. The tower in the northern choir corner has a neo-Gothic pointed helmet. The rectory is from 1610.

Furnishing

The high altar, the side altars and the pulpit are from the second quarter of the 18th century. The altar in the Anna chapel is neo-Gothic. The organ is from the middle of the 18th century.
