Parish Church of the Sacrifice of Mary in Mining

The Mining parish church is located in Mining in the Mining municipality in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of the Sacrifice of the Virgin Mary belongs to the Braunau deanery in the Linz diocese . The walled church and churchyard are under monument protection .

The late Gothic staggered church with ribbed vaults has a three-aisled, three-bay nave. The side aisles were added later. The two-bay choir with a five-eighth end from 1524 has the width of the central nave. The wooden west gallery in the central nave is from the middle of the 17th century and shows images of the apostles. The west tower, moved south from the longitudinal axis of the church, was rebuilt after the fire in 1567. It has an eight-sided superstructure and a rich, high onion dome from 1713. The sacristy has a ribbed vault.

There are tombstones from the 16th to 18th centuries, of which are figural, Max Sinzinger died in 1508 by Jörg Gartner , Wolfgang Baumgartner died in 1517, Wolfgang von Elreching died in 1521 by Sigmund Rueder, Peter Baumgartner died in 1525 by Stephan Rottaler, Wiegoleus von Elreching died in 1561 , Wilhelm Freiherr von Lizellburg died in 1722 with carcass reliefs. There are also grave inscription tablets made of glazed clay from the 16th to 18th centuries.

The cemetery wall has a Gothic wedge cover.

Furnishing

The high altar bears a Gothic statue of Mary and Child from 1490. The fron arch cross is late Gothic. In the choir are two life-size statues of Rochus and Sebastian (around 1712/1714) by the sculptor Meinrad Guggenbichler and his workshop.
