The Roman Catholic parish church Pölfing-Brunn is in the village of Brunn in the municipality of Pölfing-Brunn in Styria . Until the end of August 2018, the parish church of Maria Königin belonged to the then dissolved dean's office in Deutschlandsberg in the Graz-Seckau diocese ; The church is a listed building .

history

The church was built from 1957 to 1959 on the site of a former mining area according to the plans of the architect Karl Lebwohl and consecrated in 1961 with Diocesan Bishop Josef Schoiswohl . The branch church of the Wies parish church was elevated to a parish church in 1977. In 1991 the parish formed a parish association with St. Ulrich in Greith and Wies joined in 2002.

architecture

The simple church building with a nave under a gable roof has high rectangular windows. The large glass window in the semicircular choir with the coronation of Mary, scenes from the secrets of the rosary and the representation of European Marian shrines were painted in 1961 by the painter Albert Birkle .

Furnishing

Anton Hafner painted the Stations of the Cross . The organ was built by the Krenn company from Graz and was consecrated in 1964. The four steel bells were cast in Bochum.
