The parish church of Palfau is located in the village of Palfau in the municipality of Landl in the Liezen district in Styria . The Roman Catholic parish church , consecrated to the feast of All Saints , belongs to the Admont dean's office in the Graz-Seckau diocese . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

On the site of a chapel that existed in the 14th century, a foreman named Jakob Prandtauer built it from 1733 to 1735 . The church was restored inside in 1899/1900 and 1978 and outside in 1912 and 1979.

architecture

The hall under a barrel vault has a three-axis west gallery. The west tower has a curved hood from 1827/1828.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1735 has plastic decorations by Josef Thaddäus Stammel and shows an altarpiece of All Saints by the painter Johann Jakob Raunacher.

There are two side altars, the north side altar bears a Gothic statue of Our Lady around 1480. There is a support pole with a Gothic bust of Mary in the manner of Lienhart Astl around 1510 as a crowning.

The organ from 1902 shows itself in baroque forms. Bernhard Lissiak names a bell in 1794.
