history

The core Romanesque and Gothic church was expanded several times to the west. In 1998 the outside of the church was restored.

architecture

A Gothic choir extension from the 14th century adjoins the nave with its Romanesque nave walls. The tower on the north side of the nave has round-arched twin windows and an eight-sided pointed helmet. To the east of the tower is the sacristy annex, to the west of the tower is a two-bay, probably baroque chapel annex like a nave. The sacristy and chapel annex stand with the nave under a shared, shingled gable roof. The late Gothic south portal around 1500 has a crossed donkey back arch, the portal door is richly covered with iron plates and ribbons.

On the western and southern outer wall of the church are two Roman fragments of grave inscriptions with the inscription ILLPRON 364, 367, and a Roman tomb relief with depictions of animals CSIR II / 4, 382. Another fragment on the northwestern churchyard wall and in the sacristy show CiL III 5085 = II658; ILLPRON 365.

The interior of the church shows in the nave a four-bay Gothic ribbed vault from the 15th century with round-arched arcades to the two northern groin-vaulted side bays. The Romanesque triumphal arch is round-arched. The one-bay choir with a five-eighth end and with ribbed vaults on consoles has tracery windows, with two lanes in the east. The gothic sacrament niche is roofed with an eyelash .

Furnishing

The high altar from the third quarter of the 17th century was renovated in 1745 and 1870, the aedicula above a small base has side console figures under canopy arches, and the broken segmented gable with a small aedicule serves as a top. The high altar bears a carved group of the Coronation of Mary and the side figures Josef and Sebastian and in the top the figure Florian.
