Parish church Regelsbrunn
The Roman Catholic parish church Regelsbrunn stands a little higher in the south of the village of Regelsbrunn in the municipality of Scharndorf in the district of Bruck an der Leitha in Lower Austria . She is the St. St. James and belongs to the deanery Hainburg in the vicariate Unter dem Wienerwald of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The building is a listed building .
history
The baroque church was built at the end of the 17th century from a granary ( bulk box ). In 1770 the beneficiary was set up and since 1783 it has been an independent parish.
architecture
- Church exterior
The house of God is a tall, block-like and just closed building with pilasters . It has high set arched windows and a gable roof . The sacristy attached to the east used to be the Holy Sepulcher Chapel. It is structured by blind arcades. The slender corner tower with a bell storey to the southwest is structured by pilasters. The tower is crowned by an onion helmet. The vestibule in front of the baroque main portal dates from the first half of the 18th century.
- Church interior
The interior of the church is a tall, dreijochiger hall with cross vaults on pilasters with profiled fighters and transverse arches . The west gallery is arched by a flat arched barrel.
Furnishing
The neo-Gothic main altar was built in 1922. The aedicular table with tracery and the image of St. Jacob. The pews were also built at this time. The font was built at the end of the 17th century.
organ
The neo-Gothic organ from 1841 was made by Josef Loyp .
