The parish church Rohr im Kremstal is located in Rohr im Kremstal in the municipality of Rohr im Kremstal in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary - incorporated into Kremsmünster Abbey - belongs to the Kremsmünster Dean's Office in the Diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

A church was mentioned in a document in 1136. The Gothic church was baroque around 1660/1665.

architecture

A retracted two-bay choir with a three-eighth end closes off the single-nave three-bay barrel vaulted cap. The west tower wears an onion helmet.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1949 has a baroque shape and bears a baroque statue of Our Lady from the 3rd quarter of the 17th century. The former high altar painting of Maria as Queen of Heaven by painter Martin Johann Schmidt (1774) was transferred here from the collegiate church of the Spital am Pyhrn Abbey . The pulpit is from the 3rd quarter of the 18th century.
