The Rottenbach parish church is located in Rottenbach in the Rottenbach municipality in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Petrus belongs to the dean's office in Kallham in the diocese of Linz . The church and the cemetery and the rectory are under monument protection .

architecture
The late Gothic church building shows itself with a high orientation and with well-executed structural details. The single-nave three-bay vaulted net-ribbed nave is followed by a retracted two-bay vaulted net-ribbed choir with a three-eighth end. The three-axis west gallery has a ribbed vault. The lower Gothic tower in the northern choir corner has a baroque eight-sided bell chamber and has a double onion helmet. The Gothic south portal with framework and a Gothic door has a vaulted vestibule.
Late Gothic fresco symbols of the evangelists, the Veronica's handkerchief, scroll ornaments in the choir vault with the year 1524 and the depiction of St. Georg on the north wall of the nave were discovered in 1956.
Furnishing
The high altar in the late Rococo style (1774), which occupies the entire width of the choir, bears the figurative group Vocation Petri and in the top an early baroque statue of Our Lady from the second third of the 17th century. The pulpit is from the third third of the 17th century. The side altars are neo-Gothic. In the organ gallery is a half-figure group of the Holy Family from the third quarter of the 18th century from the Schwanthaler circle. The statue of Christ on the Scourge Column is also from the third quarter of the 18th century.
