history

A church was mentioned in documents in 1154.

The church building, which is essentially Romanesque with Gothic changes, has been given a baroque style. The interior was restored in 1996, and the baroque architectural polychromy was restored.

architecture

The church exterior shows buttresses. The north tower with a largely renewed facade from the late 16th century has a pointed helmet. The church is uniformly covered with stone slabs. The side arches of the porch are walled up. The step to the inside of the church is a secondary stone bezel.

The interior of the church appears as a two-bay nave, originally under a flat ceiling, today with a vault from the 19th century. The organ gallery standing on two-row columns shows simple baluster decoration on the parapet from the mid-19th century. The broad triumphal arch is ogival. The barely retracted choir with a five-eighth closure has a baroque ridge vault on the Gothic consoles with the Gothic ribs. The choir shows the baroque oratorio and underneath it the coat of arms of Count Egger, which was uncovered in 1996, around 1850 as the owner of Stadelhof Palace . In the south wall of the choir is a pointed arched portal to the sacristy. All windows are baroque.

Furnishing

The baroque high altar from the workshop of Johann Pacher 1749 bears the late Gothic Madonna around 1500 in the middle and the baroque statues Anna and Joachim, Barbara and Katharina to the side, Donatus in the center with Johannes Evangelist and Andreas to the side.
