history

architecture

The late Gothic brick building - unusual for Austria - shows a strong increase in height. The church was built on Romanesque remaining walls. The one-yoke ribbed vaulted choir with a five -eighth closure is followed by today's slightly drawn-in, higher one-yoke ribbed vaulted choir with a straight end. The single-nave three-bay nave has a star rib vault. The west tower wears a pointed helmet. The south and west portals are Gothic.

Furnishing

The decor is neo-Gothic. The triumphal cross is from the 18th century.

There are many tombstones from the 15th to 17th centuries. Particularly noteworthy in the old choir from 1544 are Georg zu Roith made of Salzburg marble with a relief Last Judgment and a coat of arms stone from 1578.
