Building description

The listed , two-aisled church has a polygonal choir closure in the main nave, a star vault in the side aisle, while the vestibule has a groin vault. In the choir there is a mural depicting St. The three kings of Hans von Bruneck from 1420, from whom the depictions of the Mount of Olives and St. Wolfgang and St. Sorrow originate on the outside of the church. The mural in the side aisle has the theme of the Gregorius Mass , with the liberation of Emperor Trajan from Hell and St. Ottilia on the front left, and the family of the donors of Hans Primus on the right. It was created by Simon von Taisten in 1506. The church was later redesigned in Baroque style and decorated with vine-decorated ceiling frescoes. The high altar picture was made by Josef Renzler in 1828 and shows the apostles James the Elder , Philip and James the Younger . Further pieces of equipment are a picture of Georg Kachler's mother Anna and a statue of the Madonna of the Crescent Moon on the right triumphal arch pillar .

Adjacent to the aisle is the tower, which is crowned by an octagon and a lantern .

The two-story cemetery chapel is connected to the church on the west side of the upper floor, and the entrance portals to both buildings are in the passage. On the first floor of the chapel there are ridge vaults and round arch niches, on the upper floor there is a barrel vault. In the chapel, accessible through two pointed arch portals, a mural depicting the crucifixion of Christ from around 1500 is most noteworthy.

The church is surrounded by the local cemetery.
