The Roman Catholic parish church of Trausdorf an der Wulka is located in the middle of the village in the old cemetery in the municipality of Trausdorf an der Wulka in the Eisenstadt-Umgebung district in Burgenland . The parish church , consecrated to St. Lawrence of Rome , belongs to the dean's office in Rust in the Eisenstadt diocese . The church is a listed building .

history

A presumably medieval parish was mentioned in a document in 1589. A 17th century church was demolished in 1764 and replaced by a late baroque new building by 1767. 1969 was a restoration.

architecture

The single-nave late-baroque church building has a northern facade tower above a retracted porch with a fascia structure and a central projection. The main front has curved gable corners and the tower has a mansard-shaped pointed helmet. The nave has a façade structure with bezels. The just closed, drawn-in choir is beveled at the corners. The sacristy is built to the west of the choir. The simple rectangular north portal shows the year 1767 on the Keilstein.

Furnishing

The high altar from 1897 is a mighty neo-baroque structure with a curly volute top over fluted Ionic columns and shows the altarpiece St. Laurentius and carries the side figures Joachim and Anna.

The organ is from the second half of the 19th century. A bell is with Johann Puterl, Wr. Neustadt 1699.
