The Roman Catholic parish church of Wald am Arlberg is located in Ausserwald in the village of Wald am Arlberg in the municipality of Dalaas in the Klostertal in Vorarlberg . The parish church of St. Mother Anna belongs to the dean's office in Bludenz-Sonnenberg in the diocese of Feldkirch . The church and the former cemetery are under monument protection .

history

In 1728 an Anne chapel was built. The Dalaas branch was elevated to a parish church in 1737 and a parish church in 1941. In 1930/1931 the new church, consecrated in 1932, was built according to the plans of the architect Willi Braun .

architecture

The nave and the choir - oriented to the west - stand under a shared gable roof, surrounded by a wall, parallel to the village street. The new cemetery was laid out south of the church and on the other side of Dorfstrasse.

Furnishing

Georg Bachmann (1926) created the high altar according to a plan by Jehly. In the high zone of the tabernacle there are reliefs, on the left sacrifice of Melchizedech and on the right Moses knocks water out of the rock. In the tabernacle niche is a crucifix with two luminous angels on the sides. The altarpiece Mother Anna with Maria was painted by Franz Bertle (1870) based on a template by Melchior Paul von Deschwanden . The lateral figures of angels with fruit garlands were created by Georg Bachmann.

The Mayer brothers' organ was installed in 1967.
