Pheneos
Pheneos is the name of an ancient city on the Greek peninsula of Peloponnese , west of the Kyllene Mountains.
According to Greek mythology , Pheneos was the place where the underworld god Hades kidnapped the Kore .
In Homer , the city in what is known is the catalog of ships mentioned. The main gods of Pheneos were Hermes and Demeter ; there was also an Asklepios sanctuary. Pheneos never played a major role politically: Little more is known than that it was in the 3rd century BC. Chr. A member of the Achaean League was and 225 v. Chr. By the Spartan king Cleomenes III. was conquered.
