Life

Gold is a child of Polish immigrants. He graduated from the McGill University in Montreal in 1957 a Bachelor in physiology and in 1961 a Master in Physiology and MD as graduation from medical school and 1965 with the work Carcinoembryonic antigen of the Human Digestive System a Ph.D. in physiology and immunology . He then trained as a specialist in internal medicine and as a specialist in immunology and allergology .

Gold received a professorship in internal medicine and physiology at McGill University and became director of the department of clinical immunology and allergology at Montreal General Hospital . Today, CEA serves as a tumor marker for colorectal cancer and other malignant tumors.

In addition to numerous memberships and functions in national and international organizations and specialist societies, Gold is a founding member of the International Society for Oncodevelopmental Biology and Medicine and a member of the scientific advisory board of the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology .
