Canadian Medical Hall of Fame
The Canadian Medical Hall of Fame (about Canadian pantheon of Medicine ', French Le Temple de la renommée médicale canadienne ) is a Hall of Fame in London , Ontario . It has been honoring living and deceased Canadians since 1994 who have made a special contribution to their health. According to its own information, it is the only national hall of fame in the field of medicine in the world.
The organization works with the Canadian Medical Association , the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the College of Family Physicians of Canada . It runs an exhibition in London, Ontario, holds a (roughly) annual membership celebration, and conducts educational events for high school and college students.
Members
The majority of the award winners are medical professionals. In addition to an astronaut and a Catholic saint, there are also athletes, politicians, scientists and humanities scholars and other professional groups.
