Phil Schiller
Philip W. Schiller (born June 8, 1960 in Natick , Massachusetts ) is an American manager and vice president of marketing for Apple . He achieved worldwide fame primarily through his appearances at Apple's product presentations. He has been a member of the executive board since Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997.
Career
Schiller received his bachelor's degree in biology from Boston College in 1982. He began a Ph.D. in English , which he did not graduate. In addition to more than 25 years at Apple, he has also served as vice president of product marketing at Macromedia , product marketing director at FirePower Systems, technology manager at Nolan, and systems analyst at the Hospital of Boston.
Apple
In Apple's product presentations, the so-called keynotes, Schiller often plays an important role. Especially during Steve Jobs' health-related absence, he took over a large part of the performances. In 2009, for example, he introduced the iPhone 3GS .
