Philip Ajouri

Philip Ajouri (* 1974 ) is a German book scholar .

Life

From 1996 to 2001 he studied modern German literature, philosophy and art history in Freiburg im Breisgau and Munich (2002 Magister Artium at LMU Munich ). After completing his doctorate (2002–2005) with Karl Eibl , he was a research assistant at the Institute for German Philology at LMU Munich from 2005 to 2007 . In 2007 he was a research assistant at the DLA Marbach for the creation of the Schiller exhibitions in 2009. From 2008 to 2014 he was an academic assistant at the University of Stuttgart , Department for NdL I. After his habilitation in 2016 and the venia legendi in the subject of modern German literature, he is since 2019 university professor (W2) for book studies at the University of Mainz .

His main research interests are editions of works and collections of works (18th – 20th centuries), serial media (magazines, book series), publisher archives and paratexts.

He was a member of the editorial board and co-editor of several issues of the Zeitschrift für Ideengeschichte .
