Philip John Allen (born November 5, 1902 in Brentford , † 1992 ) was an English football player .

Career

Allen served in the Grenadier Guards , played for army selection teams and was also active at Chelmsford FC before joining Brentford FC in 1922 . There he played mainly for the reserve team in the London Combination , he made his debut for the first team in the Third Division South in November 1922, in a 0-1 defeat at Reading FC . Although he did not play another game in the first team in the course of the season, he remained with the club for the following season and was used in September and October 1923 in a further away game on the defensive position, winning a point again. After the end of the season he continued his football career first in the Southern League at Peterborough & Fletton United , followed by engagements at Wellingborough FC and Stamford Town in the Northamptonshire League .
