Philipp Albrecht von Gaisberg

Philipp Albrecht von Gaisberg (* 1676 ; † 1752 ) was a Württemberg officer and landowner.

Life

Gaisberg was born as the son of Ernst Friedrich von Gaisberg (1644–1695), forester in Leonberg , and his wife Marie Margareth, née. von Liebenstein (1651–1718) born. He entered the Württemberg military service, was lieutenant colonel around 1721 and from 1737 commander in chief of the Württemberg troops. He finished his service with the rank of Lieutenant General Field Marshal .

In 1721 he requested the Meierhof in Hirschlanden from the Duke as a fief. His request was rejected, but he himself was compensated with property in Tübingen . In 1742 he acquired the Kirchentellinsfurt castle estate . Philipp Albrecht von Gaisberg married Katharine Sibylle von Imhoff (1681–1733) and founded the Kirchentellinsfurt branch of the Schöckinger line of the von Gaisberg family (now extinct) .
