Philipp Jahn

Philipp Jahn (born November 23, 1883 in Mengelrode (Thuringia); † April 14, 1963 (other sources 1969) in Bremen ) was a Bremen politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship .

Jahn came to Bremen around 1902 and worked as a woodworker. In 1902 he became a member of the Central Association of Christian Woodworkers and from 1907 to 1914 chairman of Bremen. After the First World War , he was a full-time district manager in Bremen from 1919. The National Socialists fired him in 1933 and he found no work until 1936 when he was employed by AG Weser . From 1945 to 1947 he worked as an office assistant at the welfare office in Bremen.

Jahn was a co-founder of the CDU Bremen in 1946 and its deputy chairman.

From November 1946 to 1951 he was a member of the first to third elected Bremen citizenship and served in deputations of the citizenship. Before that he was a member of the citizenship of the center from 1931 to 1933.

In Bremen he helped shape important political tasks in the social field.
