Philipp Kaufmann

Philipp Kaufmann (born January 7, 1974 in Linz ) is an Austrian real estate expert and describes himself as an "ImmoNomade" (or real estate nomad) between theory and practice. Kaufmann is a real estate scientist and also works as a real estate trustee and expert.

Life

Professional career

During his studies he was a study assistant with Professor Loitlsberger at the Institute for Auditing and Taxation. From 1993 to 2000 he worked for his parents' architectural office in Linz. He spent his “apprenticeship years” at Procter & Gamble , responsible for Switzerland and Austria, and at RTR.

education

Philipp Kaufmann studied international business administration and journalism and communication science at the University of Vienna and attended two postgraduate courses at the Vienna University of Technology (CEC). His theses dealt with real estate marketing and facility management.

Companies

With his family business KaBB, he pursues an investment strategy in companies from the real estate and fashion industries to sports therapy.

Functions

Philipp Kaufmann is the founding president of the ÖGNI . He is the regional office manager of the ÖVI (Austrian Association of Real Estate Trustees) Upper Austria, on the board of FGW (Research Society for Housing) and Chairman of ULI Austria, as well as chairman of the BTV (property developers' association) and board member of the Linz Neu old town. He is chairman and lecturer in the Vienna University of Technology graduate association "ImmoABS".

Private

He is married, has a son and a daughter and lives with his family in Linz.

In 2007, he and Professor Gunther Maier founded the Research Institute for Spatial and Real Estate Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business .

He has lectureships at the Vienna University of Technology, the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Applied Sciences and the Wels University of Applied Sciences, among others.

In the real estate industry, Philipp Kaufmann stands for the paradigm shift towards sustainable building and for a change from “ Green Buildings ” to “ Blue Buildings ”, as well as for holistic sustainability according to the 3P approach consisting of products, processes and people.

Prizes and awards

  • In 2009 Philipp Kaufmann received the Caesar in the category “Shooting Star 09”, the award of the Austrian real estate industry from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
  • 2010: Prize of the Urban Land Institute Germany for sustainable commitment in the real estate industry
