Philipp Krug

Philipp Krug (born August 23, 1864 in Derichsweiler near Düren , † February 26, 1925 ) was a German politician ( center ) and educator. He was a member of the Prussian state parliament in the Weimar Republic .

Life

Krug attended the Catholic elementary school and the teachers' college in Kornelimünster . He then worked as a teacher in Merode (Düren district) and in Düren. Later he was rector of a school in Düren and worked as a district school councilor for the Schleiden district . Krug was also an employee of educational newspapers and editor of the Blätter für Volksschulpraxis , the Westdeutsche teacher's newspaper and the Blätter für Rechtsschutz . He also acted as first chairman of the Catholic Teachers' Association of the Rhineland Province.

In January 1919 Krug was elected to the constituent Prussian state assembly for the constituency of Cologne-Aachen and in February 1921 and December 1924 for constituency 20 (Cologne-Aachen) in the Prussian state parliament. He was a member of the state parliament until his death in February 1925.

Krug was also a member of the provincial committee of the Rhenish Center Party and board member of the Düren Center Association.
