Philipp von Breuner (* around 1500; † April 23, 1556 in Vienna ), Freiherr zu Stübing, Fladnitz and Rabenstein etc. belongs to the Austrian noble family of the von Breuner and was a Lower Austrian civil servant .

Life

Philipp (I.) Freiherr von Breuner was the eldest son of Friedrich Ritter von Breuner and Margaretha Freiin von Rauber and moved to Austria around 1535. From 1536 to the autumn of 1542 he was the Lower Austrian regimental councilor, then he was court chamber councilor of the Habsburg monarchy and in 1550 Hungarian and Bohemian secret councilor and chamberlain , and finally in 1552 court chamber president and secret councilor. With the diploma of April 12, 1550, Philip and his cousins ​​and relatives Georg, Caspar and Balthasar and the entire male and female tribe were raised to the status of imperial barons.

He owned the Schwadorf rule as a pledge, and in 1552 Weitra in Lower Austria and Staatz was added. He died as president of the court chamber and is buried with his wife in the Schottenkirche in Vienna. With his wife Elisabeth Freiin von Windischgrätz, the daughter of Seyfried Freiherrn von Windisch-Graetz and Afra Grasswein (Gräßwein), he had 16 children. The eldest son was Seyfried von Breuner , most recently governor of Lower Austria.
