Philipp von Westerholt

Philipp von Westerholt (* after 1602 ; † April 24, 1634 in Zutphen ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Philipp von Westerholt was born the son of Borchard von Westerholt zu Hackfort (1566–1631, Mayor in Zutphen ) and his wife Hedwig Droste zu Vischering . The half-siblings Bernhard (1595–1638, General Wachtmeister ), Johann, Hendrik (* 1590, ∞ Aleid van Scherpenzeel) and Agnes († 1661, ∞ Jacob van Leefdael) come from his father's first marriage to Elisabeth van den Clooster († 1602 ) .

Act

With the receipt of the tonsure on December 14, 1624, Philip was prepared for a spiritual life and came to a cathedral priest in Münster the following year . The emancipation fell in the year 1628. He received the minor orders on April 13, 1628. The next day he became a subdeacon .
