Philippe Parmentier
Philippe Parmentier (born November 15, 1787 in Feluy , Wallonia , † May 5, 1867 in Ghent , Flanders ) was a Belgian sculptor .
Parmentier was the son of the sculptor Antoine François Parmentier . He received his first artistic lessons from his father. Parmentier later went to Paris to the École des Beaux-Arts and was a. a. Student of LD Dessin and François Joseph Bosio . At the age of 50, Parmentier was appointed as a lecturer at the Ghent Art Academy in 1837 . He held this position for ten years, but successively resigned all of his offices in 1850 and retired to private life.
