Philippe Woodtli (* 1964 ) is a Swiss pastor , carpenter and mountain guide. From 2011 to 2016 he was director of the Swiss Evangelical Church Federation .

Philippe Woodtli studied Protestant theology and trained as a federal mountain guide during his studies. After a break in his studies and an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he completed his studies and was ordained a pastor in 2002 . He had his first pastor in Walperswil in the canton of Bern. In March 2008 he moved to the Reformed Regional Church of Aargau as head of theology and law , a staff position of the church council . On August 17, 2010, the Council of the SEK elected Philippe Woodtli to succeed Theo Schaad as director of the Federation of Churches. He took up his position in January 2011. On June 6, 2012, he ran at the Synod meeting of the Reformed Church in Aargau as the successor to Claudia Bandixen for the Presidency of the Church Council. However, Christoph Weber-Berg was elected . At the end of March 2016, he resigned from his position as director of the Federation of Churches. Woodtli has been managing director of the Suhr community since the beginning of 2018.

Philippe Woodtli is married with two daughters and lives in Gränichen .
